Johnnie Ray Blanton, age 65, of Loris, SC died Thursday, February 4, 2021 in his home surrounded by his family. Born August 12, 1955 in Georgetown County, SC, he was the son of the late John D. and Edna Rabon Blanton.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years: Sesley Gore Blanton of the home; two daughters: Misty Blanton Jones and her husband Chris of Conway, SC and Melissa Blanton Buffkin of Loris, SC; one brother: Ronnie Blanton of Loris, SC; five grandchildren: Noah Jones, Bailey Jones, Alex Buffkin, Colin Buffkin and Ryder Buffkin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister: Diane Blanton.
He served on the Horry County Fire Department for more than 40 years.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, February 7, 2021 at 3 PM in the Lake Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery, Loris, SC
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Horry County Fire & Rescue.
