Johnnie Raldon Caison, 77, of Calabash passed away at his home on Monday, April 26, 2021.  Born on November 9, 1943 at his Brunswick County home, he was delivered by his midwife grandmother Fannie Moore.  He was the son of the late Johnnie Martin and Ettie Evelyn Caison and a lifetime Brunswick County resident.  He worked as a carpenter building many houses in Brunswick and Horry County.

Surviving are his wife, Marsha Long Caison; daughter, Amanda Long (Billy) of Nakina; grandsons, Matthew Caison (Savanna), Gavin Caison (Meghan), Jordan Caison (Katie), Brandon and Dylan Long.  Daughter, Gina Zehnder of Ash; granddaughters, Cassie and Madyson Zehnder; grandson, Drew Zehnder.  Son, Joshua Caison of Ash; granddaughters, Chloe and Leah Caison, Alivia West.  Sister, Jojuan Somersett (Darry) of Ocean Isle Beach. Along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bunny and Sam Caison; sisters, Johnnie Mae Hughes and Vivian Thomas.  Son in law, Rick Zehnder.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 2 PM in the Manley Bennett Cemetery, Calabash, NC.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the cemetery.

The service will be officiated by Preacher John Bracey.  Pallbearers: Joshua Caison, Matthew Caison, Gavin Caison, Jordan Caison, Drew Zehnder, Brandon Long, Dylan Long and Thomas Jordan.
