John D. Singletary, age 77, died Friday, March 1, 2024 in Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, Whiteville, NC. Born November 28, 1946 in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late Leba Singletary and Gracie Mae Cox Singletary.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Hardee Singletary of the home; one daughter, Kayla Arjane Singletary of Tabor City, NC; two sons, John Allen Singletary and wife Tabitha of Loris, SC, and Jason Davis Singletary of Longs, SC; one sister, Bonnie Gayle Spivey of Tabor City, NC; three grandchildren, Madelyn Frances Singletary, Jason Davis Singletary II (Ashley) and Victoria Dawn Singletary Mills (Kyle); and four great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Singletary Murray, and Carolyn Dean McMillian.
A graveside service will be held Monday, March 4, 2024 at 3:00 PM in the Dulah Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
