Jesse "Bo" Daniel Long

Jesse Daniel “Bo” Long, age 80, died Sunday, May 28, 2023 in UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC.  Born January 29, 1943 in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late James Ranson Long and Dessie Lee Williams Long.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen L. Long of the home; two sons, Mark Long and wife Debbie of Shallotte, NC, and Matthew Long and wife Patti of Nakina, NC; two daughters, Darlene L. Ward and husband Darrell of Nakina, NC, and Rebecca L. Worley and husband Dewayne of Nakina, NC; one brother, Jason Long of Shallotte, NC; one sister, Doris Ellen Ward of Shallotte, NC; eight grandchildren, Cody, Jennifer, Seth, Whitney, Caleb, Jamie Lynn, Jesse and Landon; and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Palmyra Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.
