Jerry Dale Hodges, age 83, of Tabor City, NC, died Sunday, October 9, 2022 in the McLeod Loris Hospital. Born September 4, 1939 in Horry County, SC, he was the son of the late Robert Wade Hodges and Cordelia Fowler Hodges.
He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and also retired as the Fire Chief with the Tabor City Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Estalene Ray Hodges of the home; two sons, Darryle Hodges and wife Sabrina of Reidsville, SC and Brian Patrick Hodges and wife Brandy of Pickens, SC; one daughter, Michelle Espinoza and husband Jesus of Clarendon, NC; two sisters, Carolyn Hilburn of Tabor City, NC and Ila Pearl Lilly of Green Sea, SC; and seven grandchildren, Jesse Espinoza and wife Jayden, Ashleigh Espinoza, Kaylee Blake Hodges, Kassidy H. Dibert and husband Isaac, Megan Long, Kevin Raines and Taylor Raines.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Myrtle Green Cemetery.
