Jerry Edward Grainger, age 80, died on Saturday, August 10, 2024, in UNC Health Southeastern, Lumberton, NC. Born November 14, 1943, he was the son of the late Ruffin Levi Grainger and Addie Grainger. He attended Southeastern Church of God where he played the guitar.
He is survived by two sisters, Lula Bell “Ernestine” Grainger Russ of Tabor City, NC and Priscilla Gable of Lexington, SC; and sister-in-law, Hilda Brown Clemons of Tabor City, NC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Brown Grainger, three brothers, and eight sisters.
Visitation will be held from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, in Inman Ward Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, August 15, 2024, in Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
