Tabor City, NC

James William Knight III, age 74, died Monday, July 31, 2017 in his home.  Born September 22, 1942 in San Francisco, CA, he was the son of the late James William Knight II and Etta Greenhill Knight.

He is survived by his wife of twenty seven years: Mary Blanche Davis Knight of Tabor City; one step daughter: Deborah Anne Knight of Myrtle Beach, SC; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son: James William Knight IV.

He was a Veteran of the United States Navy.  He was also a member of Tabor Lodge 563, VFW Post 483 in Nashua, NH and attended American Legion Post 506 of Tabor City.

A memorial service will be held Monday, August 7, 2017 at 3 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.
