 James Edward Coleman, age 76, of Chadbourn, NC, died Monday, May 23, 2022 in the Regency Hospital of Florence.  Born June 26, 1945, he was the son of the late T.C. Coleman and Nolie Woodell Coleman Soles. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army 

He is survived by one daughter, Melissa McPherson (Arthur) of Chadbourn, NC; two sisters, Nolie Bell Rushing of Rockingham, NC and Betsy Wayne Jackson of Charlotte, NC; two half-sisters, Mary Jane Smith of Hampstead, NC and Louvenia Stephens of Whiteville, NC; four grandchildren, David McPherson (Ashley), Gage McPherson (Morgan), Jami McPherson (Nathan) and Madi McPherson; three great grandchildren, Breelynn McPherson, Kinsleigh McPherson and Walker McPherson; and ex-wife, Faye Bryant.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three half-brothers, George Coleman, William Coleman and Jerry Soles; two half-sisters, Margie Ward and Mary Ward; and fiancé, Bonnie Raulerson.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 6PM to 8PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home.

A graveside service, officiated by Pastor Buddy Seay, will be held Friday, May 27, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery
