James Norwood Jones

James Norwood Jones, age 67, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at Angel House Hospice Care Center in Whiteville, NC. Born on August 15, 1956 in Whiteville, NC he was the son of the late Robert McKinley Jones and the late Ruby Lee Brinkley Jones.

James is survived four children, Matisha Jones of Baltimore, MD, James Jones, Jr., of Fayetteville, NC, Alexis Jones of Burlington, NC, and Brandon Jones of Tabor City, NC; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three siblings.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a sister and brother.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Central Missionary Baptist Church, 443 W. Virgil Street, Whiteville, NC 28472.
