James Allard “Junior” Jernigan passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side after a decades-long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Born on December 11th, 1938, in Tabor City, he was the son of the late Allard and Flossie McMillan Jernigan.
Mr. Jernigan is survived by his wife of almost 67 years, Ann Jernigan; one daughter, Donna Jernigan; two granddaughters, Ashleigh Mays (Nick) and Rikki Palmer; and one sister, Martha Bernhard of WI.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Anne Wright and Kaye Lovings.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
