James Edward Cassell Sr. age 73, formally of Nakina, NC, died Tuesday, May 2, 2023 in the Beacon Place, Greensboro, NC. Born in Martinsville, VA, he was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Cassell and Lona Beatrice Hicks Cassell.

He is survived by one son, James Edward Cassell Jr. of Gambrills, MD, three brothers, Raymond Cassell of Greensboro, NC, Larry Cassell of Reidsville, NC, Jerry Cassell of Greensboro, NC, two sisters, Peggy Gillette and Terry Cassell of Greensboro, NC.
