Clarendon, NC

Veta Ithean Gurganus Bullock age 85 died Saturday in Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center, Whiteville, NC.  Born in Columbus County, NC she was the daughter of the late Bert and Ollie Singletary Gurganus.

 She is survived by her husband of 69 years C.B. Bullock Jr. of Clarendon, Two daughters: Hilda Bullock Norris of Clarendon Faye Bullock Soles and husband Jimmy of Clarendon. Four grandchildren: Melony Worley, Christie Hardee and husband Andy, Bryan Bullock Norris, GySgt. William Jonathan Norris and wife Krystal. Five great-grandchildren: Caroline Ruth Hardee, Austin Dale Hardee, Piper Collins, Eden Royce Norris, Ireland Tindale Norris.

 In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son-in-law Elbert Norris, three brothers: Lee Grant Gurganus, Elbert Gurganus, and Vernon Gurganus. Four sisters: Vera Fowler, Mary Gaskin, Velma Tyree, and Vivian Merrill.

 Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Clarendon, NC

 Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00pm in Mt. Sinai Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery,
