Herbert Jerry Soles, age 98, of Conway, SC, died Saturday, August 3, 2024, in his home. Born November 13, 1925, in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late Haynes Pinckney Cartrette and Idella Anderson Cartrette. He served his country in the United States Army and was a member of Conway Church of God.

Survivors include three sons, Vernon Nelson Soles of Anderson, SC, David Zo Soles of Hemingway, SC, and Steve Allen Soles of Conway, SC, one daughter, Nina Jean Soles Carteret of Conway, SC, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and ten great great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Leila Mae Milligan Soles, son, Jerry Wayne Soles, two brothers, three sisters, and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, in Conway Church of God.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, in Conway Church of God. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery in Loris, SC.
