Ms. Gertha Norris age 98, died Monday May 2, 2016 in the Morrison Manor Hospice Center, Laurinburg, NC.  Born March 7, 1918 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of late Tim Norris and Delpha Norris and widow of Earl Sterling Norris. 

She is survived by one son: Edward Dewain Norris of Murrells Inlet, SC; one daughter: Barbara Ann Hunt of Laurinburg, NC; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter: Hazel Norris, one son: Doc Norris; three brothers: Bardon Norris, Garland Norris, and Carson Norris; four sisters: Essie Cribb, Merti Simmons, Marie McGee, and Lounette Garrell.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 6 PM to 8 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 11 AM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
