Ernest James “E.J.” Mansur, 83, of Tabor City, NC, passed away February 4, 2026.
E.J. was first and always a family man. A loving husband, daddy, grandpa, and friend. He loved the Lord with all his heart and his faith was important to him.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife, Lea, and his daughter, Jeanette. He leaves behind his son Kelly, his daughter Dawn and son-in-law Charles, ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and his sister-in-law Kathy Stroud, along with many other loved ones who will miss him deeply.
Daddy loved fishing, cheering for his Dallas Cowboys, cooking up what everyone agrees were the best hamburgers ever, and telling the silliest jokes you ever heard and usually expecting everyone to laugh whether they were funny or not. And if you knew him, you probably heard him say, “Kiss my what!?” at least once.
More than anything, he was kind and full of love. He left behind a lifetime of memories that will keep him close to us always. He truly was the best daddy anyone could ask for.
He will be missed more than words can say, but loved forever.
Private services will be held at a later date.
A service of Inman Ward Funeral Home & Crematory of Tabor City, NC.
