Edgar Dwayne Hayes, age 58, of Whiteville, NC, died Tuesday, August 8, 2023, in his home.  Born November 26, 1964, in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late Ernest David Hayes Jr. and Clara Belle Strickland Hayes Ivey.

He is survived by his wife Jennifer Kay Hayes of the home, one son Joshua Kegan McNair Whiteville, NC, two brothers, Roger Hayes (Pam) of Lumberton, NC, Larry Hayes (Marie) of Whiteville, NC, two sisters, Wanda Rowland of Fairmont, NC, Teresa McCarty of Lumberton, NC.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant son.

Private services will be held at a later date.
