Douglas Wilson Beck, Jr., age 61, of Whiteville, NC, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2025 in UNC Health Southeastern, Lumberton, NC.

Born March 18, 1964 in Horry County, SC, he was the son of Leona Ward Beck of Tabor City, NC and the late Douglas Wilson Beck, Sr.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one brother, Steven Beck (Tammy) of Tabor City, NC; one sister, Renee Beck Penny of Tabor City, NC; two nephews, Steven Beck, Jr., Houston Penny; two great nephews, Dalton Beck and Camden Penny; and two great nieces, Kealyn Beck and Sadie Beck.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Renee Cartrette Beck.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 19, 2025 at 2:00 PM in New Horizon Baptist Worship Center with burial to follow in the New Horizon Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.
