Douglas Gene Tyler, age 75, of Conway, SC, died Monday, January 15, 2024 in his home. Born June 4, 1948 in Horry County, SC, he was the son of the late Bishop Talman Tyler and Menta Lee Fowler Tyler.
He is survived by a great niece, Jeanne Turbeville (Will) of Conway, SC; a nephew, Mickey Lynn Cartrette of Green Sea, SC; and a niece, Kimberly Cartrette Denniston of Bolivia, NC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kay Frances Cartrette.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 4:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.
