Dorothy Walton Ivey, age 82, of Charlotte, NC, died Saturday, February 29, 2020 in her home. Born June 27, 1937 in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late David James “Jim” Walton and Maude McPherson Walton and the widow of David Earl Ivey.
She is survived by one son: David Steven Ivey of Charlotte, NC; and two brothers: Roger Walton of Whiteville, NC and Donald Walton of Mint Hill, NC.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister: Estaleen Ray and one brother: Henry Walton.
A graveside service will be held Friday, March 6, 2020 at 11AM in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends following the service in the cemetery.
