Donald Brooks Spivey

Tabor City, NC 

Donald Spivey age 86, of the Vinegar Hill community died Sunday, December 1, 2024, in his home.

Born in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late Dothan Bethea Spivey and Dessie Wright Spivey. He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Williamson (Jan) of Tabor City, NC, Kelly Gann of Tabor City, NC. One brother, Charles Spivey of Fort Mill, SC, one sister, Shirley Walton of Monroe, NC, two grandchildren: Tiffany Rising (Marcus), Nicholas Williamson(Kristi) two great-grandchildren: Haley Rising, Landon Rising. 

In addition to his parent's, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Spivey, two brothers, Lavern Spivey, Ralph Spivey, one sister, Leona Lanier. 

He was a member of Jones Street Missionary Baptist Church. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 11:00AM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
