Don Watts age 92, died Wednesday, April 26, 2023 in MUSC Hospital in Charleston, SC.
Born in Tabor City, NC, he was the son of the late Albert Dow Watts and Edith Soles Watts.
He was a member of Tabor City Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S Army and U.S Air Force Reserve.
He is survived by his wife, Mary S. Watts of the home. One daughter, Mary Katherine Porter and husband Jeff of Little River, SC, One son, Albert Randall Watts and wife Sheila of Summerville, SC, one brother, Ronald Watts of Tabor City, NC, three sisters, Doris Grainger of Green Sea, SC, Betty June Ward of Tabor City, NC, Phyllis Althen of Mt. Pleasant, SC. Four grandchildren, Jeffrey Lance Porter of Johns Island, SC, Edith Lauren Porter-Rogers and husband Keith of Little River, SC, Jessica Nicole Rowe and husband Richard of Vandenberg, CA, Brandon James Watts, of Mt. Pleasant, SC. Two great -grandchildren, Wade Micheal Rowe and Kagney Lauren Rogers.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four brothers, Bill Watts, Ted Watts, Dale Watts, Ned Watts. Two sisters, Virginia Long and Peggy Currie.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 3:00pm in the Tabor City Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
