Tabor City, NC
Mrs. Diana Gore Long, age 67, died Tuesday, March 20, 2018, in the McLeod Loris Hospital. Born July 22, 1950 in Horry County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Donald Guy Gore and Bernice Ward Gore.
She is survived by her husband Elvin Curtis Long of Tabor City, NC; two sons: Michael Holmes of Tabor City, NC, Elvin Curtis Long II of Wilmington, NC; two daughters: Ann Marie Tyer of Hampstead, NC, Linda Rhien of Leland, NC; four sisters: Delores G. Wiggins of Norwood, NC, Deanna G. Robertson of Myrtle Beach, SC, Donna G. Yanes of Tabor City, NC, Daphne G. Worley of Cerro Gordo, NC; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; eight nieces: Lily, Heidi, Amanda, Hannah, Heather, Haley, Emma, Grayce; and eight nephews: Justin, Nathaniel, Kyle, Kenny, Nick, Randle, Gray, and Dalton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father: Robert Hughes and niece: Krystal Pineda.
She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Tabor City, NC. She worked in banking for forty years before retiring.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at 1 PM in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Tabor City, NC. Burial will follow in the Myrtle Green Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
