Dewey Edward Fowler, age 76, died Tuesday, August 13, 2024, in his home in North Myrtle Beach, SC. Born on July 7, 1948, in Horry County, SC, he was the son of the late Polie Lee Fowler and Mary Elizabeth Hayes Fowler.

Dewey loved the outdoors and being on and around the water. He loved his family and extended family. He was the most sweet, loving and funny man. He always had a hug and a smile for everyone. He had a handshake for his grandson and great-grandsons, hugs for his daughters, granddaughters, and great-granddaughters. Our dad and husband is going to be greatly missed by us, his family and friends, he will forever live in our hearts and be our shining star.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Blanton Fowler, two daughters, Darla Fowler of Wilmington, NC and Angela F. Mood (Ed) of Wilmington, NC. Two stepdaughters, Dana Doyle (Lee) of West Columbia, SC and Kim Doyle Stephens (Chuck) of Harrison, TN. Five grandchildren, Brandon, Heather, Kastle, Aerial, McKenzie; six great-grandchildren, Adian, Landian, Leon, Remi, Gabby, and Havok. One sister, Lucille Clemmons (Jimmy) of Wilmington, NC and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he preceded in death by his three sisters, Mary Ruth Wilkins (Tom), Ruby Lee Cox (Melvin), Maggie McCullum (Bob) and brother, William Coley Fowler.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM on Thursday, August 15, 2024, in Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Myrtle Green Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Thursday in Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.
