Denise Stephens Spivey, age 48, died Monday, April 18, 2016, in her residence. Born September 19, 1967 in Columbus County she was the daughter of Bernice Long Bell and the late Dennis Eugene Stephens.

 In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband: Randy Daryl Spivey of Tabor City; one daughter: Ashley Spivey Sellers (Allen) of Whiteville, NC; one son: Derek Len Spivey (April) of Whiteville, NC; one brother: Gene Dewayne Stephens of Tabor City, NC; and one granddaughter Merissa Spivey.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by one sister: Deborah Lynn Caines; paternal grandparents: Wilbert and Thelma Stephens; maternal grandparents: Haynes and Kathaleen Long.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 7 PM to 9 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City, NC.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 3 PM in the Emerson Freewill Baptist Church. Burial to follow in the Gore Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
