Delmas Elwood Benton, age 90, of Nakina, NC, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026, in Loris Rehab & Nursing Center, Loris, SC.

Born January 1, 1936, in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late Barcie Delmas Benton and Alma Long Benton.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Benton of the home, one son, Michael Benton (Gayle) of Longs, SC, two step grandchildren, Dale Jones and Lydia Boose and two step great grandchildren, Hunter Jones and Eagan Carswell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Eldridge Benton and Norman Benton and one sister, Ila Gertrude Benton.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 2, 2026, from 11:30AM until 12:20PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside services will be held Monday, March 2, 2026, at 1:00PM in the Gore Community Cemetery.
