DeLane M. (Hardwick) Kitchens

DeLane M. Kitchens, age 85, passed away on May 21, 2024, surrounded by her family, at her son’s residence. Born on January 22, 1939, in Loris, SC, she was the daughter of the late Dolphus Adam Hardwick and the late Mantha Holt.

She is survived by her son, Scott Kitchens and daughter-in-law, Holly; one sister, Rachel Hannah and husband William; one brother, John Wayne Hardwick and wife, Diana; fourteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday, May 24, 2024, in Mount Sinai Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be held Friday, May 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM in Mount Sinai Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Lifecare, 206 Warrior Trail, Whiteville NC 28472 and Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 72 Sidney-Cherry Grove Road, Clarendon NC 28432.
