Davis Christopher "T-Boo" Grice

Mr. Davis Christopher “T-Boo” Grice, age 82, of Tabor City, NC, died Monday, June 17, 2019 in the Lower Cape Hospice and Life Care Center in Whiteville, NC. 

T-Boo was sick, tired and ready to go home to be his Lord.  He departed from this world on June 17, 2019 to be with Jesus and his beloved family that left this world before him.  He was born January 22, 1937 in Horry County, SC.  He entered this world to fulfill his destiny that God had for him.  Davis worked many different jobs throughout his life.  In 1985 he started Grice Construction, which installed sea walls, docks and pilings for new homes.  After retiring January 2, 2000, he enjoyed traveling, fishing, building Martin bird houses and visiting with family.  He loved spending quality time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife: Joanne Goff Grice; best friend and companion for fourteen years, his beloved dog: Daisy; Children: Nina Matthews (Bob) of Longs, SC, David Grice (Darlene) of Nakina, NC, Brian Grice (Wanda) of Whiteville, NC, Sherry Harrelson (Terry) of Whiteville, NC and Tracie Grice of Tabor City, NC; one sister: Shirley Grice Bass; one brother: Willard Grice; ten grandchildren: Chris Gaskins, Aaron Oxendine, Rebecca Hill, Joshua Grice, Andrienne Elkhart, Victoria Harrelson, Austin Harrelson, Courtney Spivey, Cody Hunt and Lee Byrd; and nineteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents: Lonnie Grice and Mazell Bozeman Grice; one son: Bryan Lucas Gaskins; one brother: Maxie Grice; and two sisters: Agnes Grice Davis and Lura Grice Buck.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 6 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
