Dalton Drake Burnett, age 24, of Elizabethtown, NC, died Monday, May 6, 2024 in an automobile accident.  Born October 30, 1999 in Cumberland County, NC, he was the son of Raymond Darrell Burnett (Debra); and Leslie Sells.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Kailina Burnett and Kendall Burnett both of Lumberton, NC; two sisters, Brianna Burnett of Elizabethtown, NC and Mary Summer Burnett of Lumberton, NC; two step brothers, Cade Hinson and Ethan Burr both of Chadbourn, NC; maternal grandmother, Deborah Mathis of Elizabethtown, NC; paternal grandfather, Johnny Hammonds of Lumberton, NC; and girlfriend, Victoria Jackson.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Mary Locklear Hammonds; and maternal grandfather, Ralph Michael Sells.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 10, 2024 at 11:00AM in Myrtle Green Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
