Dalma Rae (Hunt) Bullock

Clarendon, NC

Dalma Rae Hunt Bullock, age 86, died Thursday, January 28, 2021 in the McLeod Loris Hospital.  Born December 24, 1934 in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Donald Hunt and Ethel Powell Hunt. 

She was a member of Forest Lawn Baptist Church for 60 years.  Since 1961, she has served as a Sunday school teacher, Bible School teacher, choir member, WMU member and assisted with start of the church library.  She loved to cook, especially for her church functions.  She had a passion for sewing, gardening and cooking.  She was an amazing seamstress who made all of her daughters’ wedding gowns, as well as many others.  She enjoyed baking which included wedding cakes.   She also worked at Williams Township School for 20 years and retired as the cafeteria manager.     

She is survived by three daughters: Karen Bullock Garrell (Ronald) of Clarendon, NC, Sharen Bullock of Raleigh, NC and Julia Bullock Stanley (Dale) of Clarendon, NC; one son: Wrenn Bullock of Clarendon, NC; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years: Julius Connor “JC” Bullock, Jr.; son: Rex Bullock; two brothers: Wilton Hunt and Sam Hunt; and two sisters: Linda Jordan and Barbara Ann Hunt.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 1, 2021 at 3 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Clarendon, NC.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
