Dallie Ray Canady age 85, of Tabor City, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023, in McLeod Seacoast Hospital, Little River, SC.

He was born February 14, 1938 to Major Donnie Canady and Mary Jane Long Canady.

Ray is survived by his wife, of sixty years, Phyllis, children, Wendy Duncan (Greg) of Tabor City, Selena Gore (Evan) of Whiteville, Dallie Canady (Meghan) of Tabor City, eight grandchildren, Andrew (Jenny) Meredith (Fielding), Tanner, Mackenzie, Lexie, Jentri, Graydi, Annalis, three great-grandchildren Oscar, Isabella, Raylee. Two sisters, Lula Mae Causey (Lonnie) of Shallotte, NC, and Linda Gray (Carl) of Whiteville, NC.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kayla Nicole Duncan, two brothers, Hubert Canady, Major Canady, three sisters, Bernice Lovette, Evelyn Buck, and Betty Williamson.

He was a Master Mason and member of Tabor Lodge 563.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 3, 2023, at 3:00pm in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Canady Family Cemetery located at 15291 Swamp Fox Hwy East Tabor City, NC 28463.

Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Andrew Duncan, Tanner Duncan, Mackenzie Gore, nephews, Rusty Williamson, Donnie Canady, and Patrick Lovette. Honorary pallbearers, grandsons, Oscar Pineda, Jentri Canady and Grady Canady.

In lieu of flowers family ask donations may be made to Living Water Baptist Church 1569 Hwy 9 East Longs, SC 29568.
