Clara Lidy Norris Cartrette, age 85, of Chadbourn, NC, died Monday, November 30, 2020, in Shoreland Health, Whiteville, NC. Born September 13, 1935 in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Martin Vester Norris and Mary Elizabeth Nobles Norris and the widow of Rayford Cartrette.
She is survived by one son: Danny Ray Cartrette of Clarendon, NC; four grandchildren: Andrea, Angela, Jessica and Kristen; eight great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter: Patricia Hernandez; one son: Ricky Dell Cartrette; two brothers: Shelton Norris and Herman Norris; three sisters: Myrtle Godwin, Loublond Hardison and Al Spivey; and one grandson: Jonathon Ray Cartrette.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 11AM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the McPherson Cemetery, Chadbourn, NC.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
