Clara Juanice (Strickland) Housand

Clara Juanice S. Housand age 62, of Tabor City died Friday, June 26, in Novant Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, NC.

Born in Horry County, SC., she was the daughter of Liston David Strickland and Carolyn Prince Strickland O’Quinn.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by one son, Warren Liston Housand (Melissa Kidd) of Tabor City, NC; one brother, David Strickland (Dorothy) of Tabor City, NC; one sister, Lynne S. Jernigan (Johnnie) of Clarendon, NC; one granddaughter, Audrey Housand; nephews, Bradley Strickland (Paige), Adam Jernigan (Amanda), Steven Jernigan (Jessie); niece, Kelly S. Watts (Donovan); several great nieces and nephews; and one bonus granddaughter, Carly Jackson.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Hillary Housand. 

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00pm June 30, 2026, in Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Old Springfield Cemetery, Loris, SC.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 29, 2026, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in Inman Ward Funeral Home and at other times at Lynne’s home at 1452 Vinegar Hill Rd. Clarendon, NC.  

The family request for everyone in attendance please wear purple as it was her favorite color.
