Carol Jean Soles Fowler, age 71, of Clarendon, NC died Saturday, January 23, 2021 in New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, NC. Born November 13, 1949 in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Leo Buddy and Lessie Phillips Soles. She is also preceded in death two brothers: Buster Soles and Roger Soles; three sisters: Patricia Panye, Louvenia Yarborough, and Louise Todd; two sons: Deary Jason Fowler and Michael Shearer; three grandchildren: Stacey Spivey, Chance Saxon and Harold Blackburn.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years: Deary Junior Fowler of the home; two sons: Bill Jones and wife Tammy of Bonaire, GA and Frankie Jernigan and his wife Danielle of Green Sea, SC; seven daughters: Sandra Hill and her husband Scott of Lake Waccamaw, NC, Angela Shelley and her husband Kenneth of Siler City, NC, Angie Rice of Marshall, NC, Jeannie Powers and her husband Tommy of Bladenboro, NC, Tonya Wells of Florida, Jennifer Stephens and her husband Kenneth of Orrum, NC and Jessica Fowler of Hallsboro; one brother: Ronnie Soles and his wife Crystal of Marshall, NC; six sisters: Brenda Cox of Andrews, SC, Geraldine Ward of Loris, SC, Willa Dean McPherson and her husband Keith of the Beaverdam Community, Clara Cartrette and her husband Gary of the Beaverdam Community, Dorothy Soles of Whiteville, NC and Rebecca Soles and wife Rebecaa of Whiteville, NC; twenty-four grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Myrtle Green Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
