Brookie Mae (Hardee) Spivey

Tabor City, NC

Brookie Mae Hardee Spivey age 90, died Sunday, February 12, 2023 in her home. Born in Horry County, SC, she was the daughter of the late James E. Hardee and Gussie Tyler Hardee. She was the widow of Marvin Spivey.

She was a member of Mt Sinai Baptist Church; she loved the Lord and Savior and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved gardening and cooking collard greens and homemade biscuits for her family and friends.

She is survived by two daughters, Kay Spivey husband Charles of Whiteville, NC, Renee Spivey Sellers and husband David of Tabor City, NC., two sons, Randy Spivey and wife Kim of Chadbourn, NC, Mike Spivey and wife Susie of Chadbourn, NC. Seventeen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

 In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one son, Maurice Lynn Spivey and one infant daughter.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 14th, 2023 from 7:00pm until 9:00pm in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 15th, 2023 at 2:00pm in the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Spivey Cemetery on Spivey Ward Dr. Tabor City.  Pallbearers include, Buddy Spivey, Shannon Spivey, Wesley Spivey, Blake Spivey, Brandon Spivey, Justin Spivey, Hunter Spivey, Chris Spivey and Jordan Luther.
