Betty Phelps Cartrette age 64, of the Beaverdam Community, died Wednesday, October 11, 2023 in her home.
Born in Brunswick County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Sidney Phelps and Leona Benton Phelps, she was widow of Ricky Dell Cartrette.
She is survived by one daughter, Jessica Lynn Simmons (Cassey) of Chadbourn, two brothers, Robert Stewart of Hallsboro, NC, James Phelps of Whiteville, NC, one sister, Faye Costello of Hallsboro, NC, two grandchildren, Alex Fowler & Morgan Nealey.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son Jonathan Cartrette.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 13, 2023 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in Inman Ward Funeral Home, Tabor City.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 11:00AM in Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the McPherson Cemetery, Chadbourn, NC.
