Benjamin Oscar Wright, age 67, of Gaston Sellers Road, Whiteville, NC, died Thursday, September 16, 2021 in his home. Born April 17, 1954 in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late Carl Wright and Bertha Faircloth Wright.
He is survived by his wife: Patricia Vance Wright of the home; one son: Luke Wright and his wife Alix of Aldie, VA; one daughter: Jenny Wright Lovitt and husband Rusty of Whiteville, NC; three brothers: Bob Wright of Tabor City, NC, David Wright of Nakina, NC and Roger Wright of Clarendon, NC; three sisters: Hilda Atwell of Indian Trail, NC, Linda Moore of Cherry Grove, SC and Becky Digh of Gastonia, NC; and four grandchildren: Cora Wright, Reese Wright, Lacey Hinson and Brody Hinson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Louie Wright, Charles Wright, Rutherford Wright and Lynn Wright.
A graveside service will be held Monday, September 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Wright Cemetery, Minos Meares Road, Tabor City, NC.
The family will receive friends following the service in the cemetery.
