Anthony Murrell Smith, age 58, died Friday, May 29, 2020 in Lower Cape Fear Life Care Center in Whiteville, NC. Born August 24, 1961 in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late Landon Smith and Mazzie Jones Smith.
He was an avid Elvis fan.
He is survived by one sister: Yvonne Hoch and husband David of Loris, SC.
The family would like to especially thank all of the caregivers and staff of the Lower Cape Fear Life Care Center in Whiteville, NC for all the kindness and care they showed Mr. Smith during his stay there.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 1, 2020 at 7:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, social distancing will be observed and the family has requested that all attendees wear a mask.
A private burial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Life Care Center, 206 Warrior Trail, Whiteville, NC 28472.
