Ann (Logusz) Jernigan

Ann Logusz Jernigan, age 85, of Tabor City, NC, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2026, in her home with her loving family by her side.

Ms. Jernigan was born May 1st, 1941, in Lublin, Poland and was the middle daughter of Ukrainian parents Emilian Logusz and Julia Maksymowycz.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, James Allard Jernigan Jr. who died March 4th, 2026. Ms. Jernigan is survived by one daughter, Donna Jernigan of Tabor City; two granddaughters, Rikki Palmer of Tabor City and Ashleigh Mays of Asheville; and one sister, Alexandria “Sandy” Shimoniak of Wisconsin.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ms. Jernigan was preceded in death by her younger sister, Marie Glasgow.

Ms. Jernigan was of the Catholic faith, her funeral will be held Wednesday, July 29th, 2026, at 11:00am at the Catholic Church of the Resurrection in Loris, South Carolina, with interment to follow at Twin City Memorial Gardens.
