In Loving Memory of Aaron Paul Ferreira

May 23, 1995 - Sept 2, 2023

On September 2, 2023, our beloved Aaron was called home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Aaron was welcomed by a legion of heavenly angels resplendent in all their glory. Aaron was born with a rare, genetic disorder known as Ehlers Danlos Syndrome; a deadly enemy he had battled his entire life. Although he fought valiantly and courageously, his body yearned for rest from the ravages of this debilitating disease. Aaron finally surrendered, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Aaron was a unique and remarkable young man. He loved deeply and fully, with all of his heart. If you were fortunate enough to be enriched by his presence, you would truly experience what pure love is; for it would penetrate your very soul.

Aaron found great joy in the simple things in life; playing video games with his life long friends, writing stories, illustrating his characters, spending time with his beloved pets, Nomi, Daisy and Ash and playing board games. He had a quick wit tinged with a bit of sarcasm, which caught one’s attention, but was always delivered in a light, gentle and humorous manner.

Aaron is survived by his loving and devoted parents, James and Devona Bozeman-Ferreira of Loris, S.C., his beloved sister Heather Murray, brother-in-law Jordan Murray and nephews Drake and Blake Murray of Loris, SC, his sister Brandy Carlisle of Myrtle Beach, SC, his paternal grandparents, Paul and Bonnie Ferreira of Tabor City, NC his great-grandmother Flora Hilbourn of Tabor City, his paternal aunt, Paula Ferreira-Stocks, her husband Johnathan Stocks and youngest cousin, Jax of Tabor City, his great-uncle and aunt Ronald Ferreira and Kathleen Kelly, of Whiteville, NC, his great-uncle and aunt Brian and Holly Ferreira of Riverside, RI and his great-great uncle Henry Martelly of Whiteville.

Aaron will certainly be missed and his absence leaves an unfillable void in the lives of his family and friends; including his many cousins, Trae and Holly Hardie, their daughter Isabella of Whiteville,  Andrea Hardy-Flowers, her husband, Jeremy Flowers and their children Anna Lynn and Dawson of Tabor City, Derek, Jillian, Zoe, Ian Ferreira and Michelle Matrone of Rhode Island and lastly, but not least, by his beloved friends who always stood by Aaron.

Of special note is his dearest friend, Adam Cribb of Beaver Dam, Cody and Candace Stubbs, Christian Coleman, Jonathan Heflin, Kendall Fowler and wife Haley, Austin Chapman; all of Tabor City, NC.

Aaron is pre-deceased by his beloved maternal grandparents, Louise Ward Bozeman, his ‘Papa’ CB Bozeman,  his aunt Jean Bozeman, his maternal great-grandfather Floyd Hilbourn, his aunt Tomika Ferreira-Hardy and his cousin Presley Hardy Jr., and his paternal great grandparents Edmund and Mary Jane Martelly-Ferreira.

A “Celebration of Aaron’s Life” will be held at a future date and location to be determined shortly.

Aaron believed in spreading joy and love, in response, his family respectfully requests that each person who loved him commit a ‘Random Act of Kindness’ in remembrance of Aaron and his spirit of love, compassion and generosity. Aaron….always loved, always missed and never forgotten.
