Whiteville, NC

Sheila Barfield Baxter, age 68, died Saturday, February 3, 2018, in her home. Born February 16, 1949, in Marion County, SC, she was the daughter of late Harvey L. Barfield Sr. and Lula Virginia Norton Barfield.

She is survived by her husband Spencer Baxter of Tabor City, NC. One sister, Trena Edgerton of Florence, SC., one brother, Harvey L. Barfield Jr. of Tabor City, NC.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by infant son Lemuel Spencer Baxter, and one sister Barbara Carter.   

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at 2:00PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Miller’s United Methodist Church Cemetery, 3635 Gilchrist Rd, Mullins, SC.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the McLeod Health Foundation, 4000 Hwy 9 East, Little River, SC 29566.
