Tabor City, NC

Samuel Joseph Faircloth, age 91, died Thursday, December 7, 2017 in Shoreland Healthcare and Retirement Center, Whiteville, NC.  Born June 21, 1926 in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late Oliver Zeno Faircloth and Cynthia Prudence Anderson Faircloth.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by four sons: Dennis Todd of Clarendon, NC, Fred Todd of Whiteville, NC, Ricky Faircloth of Whiteville, NC, Ronnie Faircloth of Whiteville, NC; two daughters: Wanda Gayle Stevens of Whiteville, NC, Rhonda Anthony of Asheboro, NC; thirteen grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one son: Joey Faircloth; one grandson: Eddie Stevens; and six sisters.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Powell Cemetery, Tabor City.
