Raeford Melvin McPherson

Mr. Raeford Melvin McPherson, age 83, died Thursday, October 18, 2018 in the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center, Whiteville, NC.  Born May 22, 1935 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Arthur McPherson and Letha Hinson McPherson and widower of Mildred Lucille Cribb McPherson.

He is survived by his son, Wade Allen McPherson and wife Kelly of Chadbourn, NC; one brother, David Lee McPherson of Clarendon, NC; one sister, Agnes McPherson of Chadbourn, NC; one granddaughter, Pamela Renee McPherson of Chadbourn, NC; two great granddaughters, Jazmine Brooke McPherson, Kailey Marie McPherson; and one great grandson, Parker Allen Suggs.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Cribb and one grandson, Wade Allen McPherson, Jr.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 19, 2018 from 6 PM to 8 PM in the Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church, Chadbourn, NC.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 3:30 PM in the Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church, Chadbourn, NC.  Burial will follow in the McPherson Cemetery, Chadbourn, NC.
