Peggy Godwin, age 63, of Marion, NC, died Thursday, January 9, 2020 in the Florence Regional Medical Center. Born October 18, 1956 in Horry County, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Henry McCumbee and Margaret Merritt McCumbee.

She is survived by three sons: Jerry Scott of Bayboro, NC, Stacey Scott of Marion, NC and Michael Scott of Lexington, NC; one daughter: Katrina Edwards of Mullins, SC; one brother: John McCumbee of Tabor City, NC; one sister: Hannah McCumbee of Charlotte, NC; seventeen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands: Jerry Scott and Roger Godwin; and two daughters: Patricia Cooper and Melissa Simmons.

No services will be held.
