Myrtle Gore Long

 Myrtle Gore Long age 89 of Clarendon, NC, died Sunday April 15, 2018 in her home. Born May 15, 1928 in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late RT Gore and Susan Long Gore, and the widow of Jessie Lawrence Long.

She is survived by three daughters, H. Elizabeth “Beth” McLean of Calabash, NC, Barbara Ann Wright and husband David of Clarendon, NC, Susan Long Johnson and husband Eldred of Loris, SC. One brother, John James Gore of Jacksonville, FL. Two grandchildren Kathy Smith and husband Danny of N. Charleston, SC, Lawrence Johnson and wife Jennifer of Myrtle Beach, SC.   Three great –grandchildren, Laycie Gwynn of N. Charleston, SC, Emily and Olivia Johnson both of Myrtle Beach, SC.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two son-in-laws, Ronald McLean and Gary Simmons, two brothers, Owen Andrews, Tom Gore, two sisters Carrie Gore and Mary Frances Carlisle.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday April 17, 2018 at 2:00PM by Rev. Ricky Parker in the Bethel Memorial Cemetery, Clarendon, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bethel Memorial Cemetery Fund, 9195 James B. White Hwy. S., Clarendon, NC  28432.
