Mary Elizabeth Simpson, age 92, of 2622 Hwy 701 N., Elizabethtown, NC, died Monday, November 27, 2017 in the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center, Whiteville, NC.  Born July 14, 1925 in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Lester Williams and Flettie Morse Williams and the widow of James Benny Simpson.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by four sisters: Edith Prince, Dorothy Campbell, Lillian Prince, Marvelann Norris; and five brothers: Burleson Williams, Seth Williams, Hershel Williams, Hubert Williams, and Paul Lester Williams.

She was a member of White Oak Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 11 AM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel in Tabor City, NC.  Burial will follow in the Fellowship Bible Baptist Cemetery, Elizabethtown, NC.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
