Mary Ward Edwards died Sunday September 2, 2018 in Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center, Whiteville, NC. Born Columbus County she was the daughter of late James Gurtha Ward and Lettie Johnson Ward.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Edwards of Tabor City, two daughters, Sharon Jernigan of Tabor City, April Taylor and husband Shayne of Garner, NC. Three brothers: Elroy Ward of Green Sea, SC. Lonnie Ward of Tabor City, NC. Ernest Ward of Green Sea, SC., One sister, Juanita Nobles of Whiteville, NC. Two grandchildren: James Thomas Taylor and Kamryn Shaye Taylor
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Ralph Ward, Carl Ward, James Ward and Billy Ward. Three sisters: Ruby Fowler, Louise Bozeman, Ezeary Ward.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 5, 2018 at 2:00pm in the Trinity Baptist Church, Loris, SC with burial in the Myrtle Green Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
Memorials may be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center 206 Warrior Trail Rd. Whiteville, NC.
