Maeve Long Duncan, age 89, of Tabor City, NC died Wednesday, August 28, 2019 in the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center, Bolivia, NC. Born January 13, 1930 in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Major McKenzie and Maggie Mae Clark Long.
She is survived by her husband, Pete Duncan of the home; three sons: Alan Duncan and his wife Ann of Tabor City, NC, John Duncan of Tabor City, NC and Greg Duncan and his wife Wendy of Tabor City, NC; one sister: Evelyn Jones of Whiteville, NC; one sister in law: Jeanette Long of Shallotte, NC five grandchildren: Laura Burget (Dan) of Utah, Timothy Duncan (Devon) of Tabor City, NC, Rebecca Stalvey (Bryan) of Utah, Andrew Duncan (Jenny) of Tabor City, NC and Tanner Duncan of Tabor City, NC; and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter: Kayla Duncan; five brothers: Ernest Long, Orby Long, Major Long, Wade Long and David Long.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 30, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 3:00 PM in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with burial to follow in Duncan Cemetery, Tabor City, NC
