Luke Jacob Lanier, age 25, died Wednesday, October 24, 2018, in MUSC Hospital in Charleston, SC. Born March3, 1993 in Conway, SC, he was the son of Timothy Wayne Lanier and Phyllis Cartrette Lanier of Tabor City, NC.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancée, Candice Mixon and soon to be son, Jake Phillip; paternal grandmother, Leona Lanier of Tabor City, NC, maternal grandparents, Jake and Rosa Nell Cartrette of Tabor City, NC.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Jake Lanier.
Luke graduated from South Columbus High School and attended High Point University for a year. He was an employee of BB&T Call Center in Whiteville, NC.
Luke loved life and people. He was talented in many ways, anything he set his mind to he did it and did it well. He was musically gifted in singing as well as instruments. His hobbies were wide, ranging from music to cars and trucks and even cooking. Anyone who came in contact with Luke was never the same.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 26, 2018 from 7 PM to 9 PM in the Forest Lawn Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 11 AM in the Forest Lawn Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Wright Cemetery.
