Lila (Fowler) Elliott

Green Sea, SC

Mrs. Lila Fowler Elliott, age 87, went home to be with Jesus surrounded by family members on Thursday, February 1, 2018, in the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center, Whiteville, NC.  Born June 1, 1930 in Horry County, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Gordon Fowler and Carrie Cordelia Powell Fowler and the widow of Madison Wayne Elliott.

She is survived by two sons: Anthony Wayne Elliott and wife Joan of Green Sea, SC; Gregory Gordon Elliott and wife Cynthia of Lexington, SC; a daughter in-law Phyllis Elliott Elvington and husband Charles of Fair Bluff, NC; six grandchildren: Freddie, Jamie, Matthew, John Mark, Sean, Savannah; seven great-grandchildren: Summer, Megan, Haleigh, Hannah, Ethan, Anthony, Hall; and one great-great-grandchild: Aaiden.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son: Terry Maxton Elliott; two grandchildren: Madison Hall Elliott, Angie Celeste Elliott; and two sisters: Lois Pearl Fowler and Ann Burroughs.

She was a devoted life-long member of Green Sea Baptist Church.  She loved her family, her Lord, and she dedicated many years of service through her work at Loris Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 3 PM in the Green Sea Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the Green Sea Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
