Karen Sarvis Norris

Karen Sarvis Norris, age 61, of Loris, SC died Sunday, September 2, 2018 in Grand Strand Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, SC. Born September 24, 1956 in Horry County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Walter “JW” Sarvis and Shirley Ann Fowler Sarvis.

She is survived by her husband, Ira Blackwell of Loris, SC; one daughter: Kaylyn Norris Soles of Loris, SC; Two step children: Bradley Blackwell and Rebekah Blackwell both of Danville, VA; one brother: Wayne Sarvis of Loris, SC; and four grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother Kenny Sarvis.

Karen was a devoted mother, wife and grandmother and served as a CNA in the healthcare profession for 35 years.

The family would like to thank the south tower ICU staff and Embrace Hospice of Myrtle Beach, SC. 

Funeral services will be held Thursday September 6, 2018 at 2:00pm in the Dogwood Hill Baptist Church Loris, SC with burial to follow in the Mt Zion Church Cemetery, Loris, SC.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
